Compound to Complex

Rule 1. And যুক্ত Compound sentence কে complex করার 

    structure:

       একটি clause যদি অন্যটির কারণ বা সময় নির্দেশ করে   তাহলে since/As/when বসে + ১ম clause বসে + and এর পরিবর্তে (,) বসে + ২য় clause বসে। যেমন-

     Compound: He was poor and could not afford a taxi.

     Complex: Since/ As he was poor, he could not afford a taxi.

Rule 2. ১ম clause টি শর্ত বুঝালে ( Imperative)

        If বসে + ১ম clause বসে + and এর পরিবর্তে (,) বসে + ২য় clause বসে। যেমন-

     Compound: Work hard and you will succeed in life.

      Complex: If you work hard, you will succeed in life.

Rule 3. But যুক্ত Compound sentence কে complex করার বাক্যের শুরুতে Though / Although বসে + ১ম clause বসে +(,) বসে + ২য় clause বসে।যেমন-

      Compound: He is poor but happy.

      Complex: Though he is poor, he is happy.

Rule 4.Or যুক্ত Compound sentence কে complex করার সময় বাক্যের ১মে If/Unless বসে+ subject বসে + do not বসে + ১ম clause বসে + (,) বসে + ২য় clause বসে।যেমন-

      Compound: do or die.

      Complex: If you don't do, you will die.

      Compound: Come or I will not go.

      Complex: If you don't come, I will not go.
